Privacy & System Monitoring
Last Updated: January 2026
Overview
This portfolio website uses advanced analytics and monitoring to ensure system security, analyze technical
performance, and improve user experience. By browsing this site, you acknowledge the collection of technical
telemetry data.
What We Collect
- Device Fingerprinting: We generate a unique hash based on your device's hardware
characteristics (Screen, Audio, Canvas, WebGL). This is used to distinguish unique visitors from bots
and to ensure the integrity of visit counts.
- Interaction Logs: We anonymously log interaction patterns, including clicks, scrolling,
and keyboard navigation, to understand how the interface is used.
- Performance Metrics (Web Vitals): We collect data on loading speeds (LCP),
responsiveness (INP), and visual stability (CLS) to optimize the site for different networks.
Purpose of Collection
This data is strictly used for:
- Security: Identifying and blocking malicious bot traffic.
- Technical Analytics: Understanding browser support and performance bottlenecks.
- Portfolio Demonstration: Demonstrating technical capability in full-stack observability
and analytics.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data.
Storage & Retention
Data is stored securely in Google Cloud Firestore. Interaction logs are associated with a persistent
anonymous identifier (pk_visitor_id) stored in your browser's Local Storage.
Your Rights
If you wish to opt-out of persistent tracking, you may clear your browser's Local Storage or use
"Incognito/Private" mode. Privacy-focused browsers (like Brave) that block fingerprinting signals are
supported and will not be penalized, though some analytics features may be degraded.
